In all her work Jasmine is mostly inspired by nature itself, wild nature and human nature. Human’s history is a great source of inspiration and so is our fantastical imagination with it’s mermaids, wizards, fairies and other mythical and fantasy beings.
She is self taught, but always pursuing new avenues to develop new techniques and perfect the ones already acquired. She has been an artist has been an artist her whole life, started at a tender age of 6 yrs old winning school art contest and shows in beautiful Quebec Canada. She has also won awards in art shows and exhibitions over the years both in Canada and the US. For 50+ yrs now she has delighted in expressing herself through art. As she conceives her masterpieces she strives to portray surrounding natural beauty, human history, achievements, emotions and humankind’s uncanny imagination.
She spent years in Haiti caring for children of all ages, including the rejected newborns left on her doorstep. Living day by day in the constant struggle trying to alleviate their suffering from poverty caused by natural disasters, governmental and social collapse. As a result, one of her daughters came from among those beautiful babies. And 24 others found solace amongst embracing families. She continue to walk this philanthropic avenue through the selling of her art of which 5% of all proceeds is given to better the life of an impoverished child somewhere in this beautiful world we call earth.
